Medical Health Units work with the fundamental objective to reach rural communities and undeserved population to provide family planning services, primary health care, distribution of contraceptives, and basic medication.
The focus of this strategy is the Voluntary Surgical Contraception (VSC) for men and women. High-tech equipment is used and operated by qualified professionals. Five Mobile Health Units cover all the country including rural areas. In 2011, a total of 41,982 services were provided for people with unmet needs in rural areas.
